I saved this cheery Country Bouquet Heart Flower card in Sweet Sorbet for last because it is easy and fun to make. In fact, the red heart and green leaves you see in the image above are simply punched from paper.

You read that right, punched from the Country Floral Lane Designer Series Paper with the Country Bouquet Punch. I love when pretty paper lines up perfectly for dies and punches. But, when the paper runs out, you will still have the Country Bouquet Stamp Set to continue to create the same great imagery for future punching.

Gorgeous Hearts, Flowers and Paper

This fabulous Country Bouquet Heart Flower card features 3 packs of designer series paper…yes 3! The punched heart pieces come from the Country Floral Lane DSP pack. The adorable gingham paper is from the Country Gingham 6 x 6″ DSP pack. And lastly, the fun stripe paper is a freebie paper pack, Dandy Designs, yours with a $100 qualifying order during Sale-A-Bration.

The fun and whimsical paper designs also anchor all the cardstock colors in this great Country Bouquet card. The card base and Stitched Greenery Die embossed layer are Sweet Sorbet, an In Color that runs a shade red, past pink. Mint Macaron and Fresh Freesia play a minor role to the red, but are very supportive colors in this mix.

Country Bouquet, Just Wanted to Say

Not every heart card should be red or pink. Or even purple. I love to use blue where it is not expected. For this Country Bouquet card, I turned to Balmy Blue. And it pairs so beautifully with white, wouldn’t you agree?

I used the Country Bouquet Bundle for my first Card Class From ME in 2023. This bundle (or the individual stamp set and coordinating punch) will be available in the January-April 2023 Mini Catalog. And it debuts at the same time as Sale-A-Bration, on January 5.

DistINKtive Two Step Stamping

Did you notice all the details on the stamped heart? First, it is done by two-step stamping. This means that 2 different stamps work together to create a full image. In this case, I stamped the leaves in Soft Succulent. Next, I stamped the flowers in Balmy Blue, just fitting them between the previously stamped leaves. The end result is a heart shape!

What makes this DistINKtive? This term is registered and trade-marked by Stampin’ Up! and has to do with the subtle highs and lows cut into the stamp. When you use a distINKtive stamp, some of the image will be lighter or more opaque in nature. It is really an amazing feature!

Country Bouquet With Love Card

It may not be fair to play “favorites”, but I definitely have one when it comes to the Country Bouquet Stamp Set. You can see it in the image above, in gold embossing. It is actually pictured twice, because I heat embossed 2 heart outline images before punching them out with the coordinating punch.

This sweet outline heart image is elegant and classy. It brings to mind weddings to me: fancy invitations or open wedding bands stacked together. This stamp is great for all kinds of love occasions, from weddings to anniversaries, and all those loving days in between.

The Fitting Florets Collection has just been released! Stampin’ Up! demonstrators have had the opportunity to play with this collection for a month now. It is time for customers to join in on the fun!

Some of the items in the Fitting Florets Collection will still be offered for sale when the January-May 2023 Mini Catalog debuts. That includes both the Framed Florets Stamp Set and the Framed Floret Dies. When you buy them together as the Framed Florets Bundle you will save 10%.

During this early release of products from the Fitting Florets Collection, there are some that will be available only while supplies last, or thru January 4, 2023, whichever comes first. For my first card, I shared a fun-fold design and created a very lovely birthday card. This was really quick to put together, and provides a great “wow” factor. The oval dies I used here are very versatile. Here is a look at the finished design.

Fitting Florets Christmas Cards

For my next 2 cards, I showcased how to use the Fitting Florets DSP and create seasonal cards in fun color combos. I tackled the Evening Evergreen Card first, stepping it up with lots of gorgeous gold accents. I used the fanciest oval die cut, and added in the basic oval die as well.

And for my last card of this class, I added in something extra cute: a sweet pair of Cherry Cobbler mittens. I just couldn’t resist pairing this color with the Balmy Blue DSP. For this card, I used the oval die that cuts tiny hearts on the paper, rather than cutting an oval out. But that basic oval die works well for layering purposes every time.

Color Swap: Who Wore It Better?

I always create a color swap card from my card class. And since it is more difficult to change up Christmas cards with alternate colors, I chose the birthday card instead.

My first card was darker blue and pink, using a Night of Navy card base. And while I changed the tones, my color swap card is also pink (Polished Pink card base) and blue…but Balmy Blue instead of Navy. Here they are for comparison. Which one is your favorite?
