For the second card in my Weekly Card Class From ME, I chose a more tropical vibe. Did you miss my first card using the Two-Tone Flora Bundle? <a href=\"https:\/\/themainestamper.com\/staging\/5082\/two-tone-flora-hello-card\/\">Click here to see it<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Perhaps it is the cold Maine winter (our low temp will be -20 tomorrow night!), but I felt more &#8220;Aloha&#8221; than &#8220;Hot Chocolate&#8221; during my design process for this Two-Tone Flora Thanks Card.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Tropical-Tone Colors<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I love the In Color, Tahitian Tide for its bold and bright blue tone. It is the perfect backdrop for my row of pretty posies. I used the smallest flower stamp in the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.stampinup.com\/products\/two-tone-flora-photopolymer-stamp-set?demoid=2116612\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Two-Tone Flora Stamp Set<\/a>, along with the matching die from the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.stampinup.com\/products\/two-tone-flora-dies?demoid=2116612\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Two-Tone Flora Dies<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Colorful Color Palette<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Here is a look at the colors from my Two-Tone Flora Thanks Card: Tahitian Tide, Daffodil Delight, Pumpkin Pie, Poppy Parade and Granny Apple Green. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"800\" height=\"671\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/themainestamper.com\/staging\/5082\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/02\/colors.png?resize=800%2C671&#038;ssl=1\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-3996\" srcset=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/themainestamper.com\/staging\/5082\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/02\/colors.png?w=940&amp;ssl=1 940w, https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/themainestamper.com\/staging\/5082\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/02\/colors.png?resize=300%2C251&amp;ssl=1 300w, https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/themainestamper.com\/staging\/5082\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/02\/colors.png?resize=768%2C644&amp;ssl=1 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 800px) 100vw, 800px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">For my flowers, I stamped off each color with the background flower stamp image. This gave me a lighter shade on White Cardstock. And while this makes the flowers look &#8220;pale&#8221;, the final result is worth it!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Next, I stamped the detailed stamp over my previous images. But this time I used fully inked shades in the exact same colors. The contrast of first and second generation ink is amazing. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Not-So-Basic Vellum<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Vellum is one of those papers that is demure and understated. But it really adds a richness to your card projects when you add a little in.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">You may have missed the new <a href=\"https:\/\/www.stampinup.com\/products\/vellum-basics-12-x-12-30-5-x-30-5-cm-specialty-designer-series-paper?demoid=2116612\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Vellum Basics<\/a> from the January-April 2023 Stampin&#8217; Up! Mini Catalog. After all, it doesn&#8217;t have the shine, shimmer or color to compete with all the rest of the new paper options.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I don&#8217;t find this new Vellum to be very basic, however. There are subtle patterns of stripes, polka dots and leaves on individual 12 x 12&#8243; sheets. That takes them from basic to beautiful in my opinion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"702\" height=\"669\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/themainestamper.com\/staging\/5082\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/02\/Vellum-Basics.jpg?resize=702%2C669&#038;ssl=1\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-3998\" srcset=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/themainestamper.com\/staging\/5082\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/02\/Vellum-Basics.jpg?w=702&amp;ssl=1 702w, https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/themainestamper.com\/staging\/5082\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/02\/Vellum-Basics.jpg?resize=300%2C286&amp;ssl=1 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 702px) 100vw, 702px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">The Secrets Of Adhering Vellum<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I used a piece of the polka-dot Vellum for my Two-Tone Flora Thanks Card. When I layered it over the striped blue pattern paper from the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.stampinup.com\/products\/flowers-more-12-x-12-30-5-x-30-5-cm-host-designer-series-paper?demoid=2116612\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Flowers &amp; More Host DSP<\/a>, the two completely different patterns worked perfectly together. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We all know it is difficult to adhere Vellum to a card front since our tape or glue will show thru the translucent paper.
