Dainty Delight The Best Card

Dainty Delight Card Class, Card 3

Dainty Delight The Best Card

We are now on to the last card from my Weekly Card Class From ME. And this week features the Dainty Delight Bundle by Stampin’ Up!. While this card is cheerful in bright pink (Polished Pink to be exact!), it is the sweet white daisies that really make this card the best!

Layers And Tags

I love a card with layers! So of course, I added some to my card, too.

If you recognize one selection of this designer series paper, it comes from the same paper pack, Flowers & More, that I used for my previous Dainty Delight card. The other piece is from the paper pack, Enjoy the Journey.

And let’s not forget the tags! The Tailor Made Tags Dies have a lot of options, in both design and size. I chose one that would fit 3 of my sweet little daisies along with my sentiment. These tags also nest together so nicely, it’s fun to mix and match color and patterns on each project you use them for.

Dainty Delight Daisies

During my live cardmaking class, I let it slip that this little daisy die is my absolute favorite from the Dainty Delight Dies. Of course, you could use just a single die cut daisy for your card or project, but I love to adhere 2 together and let their petals offset.

This will give your daisies a fuller look, making them the best! It also means you will have to run this small die thru your die-cutting machine twice per flower. For my Dainty Delight The Best Card, that meant a total of 6 die cut daisies!

And don’t forget the small center die for your daisies. This little gem is set up to die-cut 4 centers at once. Two of the centers are full circles, and the other more triangular in nature. You can see the difference in my card picture above.

Dainty Delight Sending Love Card

Dainty Delight Sending Love Card

We are on to the next card from my Weekly Card Class From ME. And this week features the Dainty Delight Bundle by Stampin’ Up!. While this card is bold in color, the flowers I stamped using the Dainty Delight Stamp Set are….well, dainty.

Bold Blocks of Color

The Flowers & More Host Designer Series Paper Pack may not be your first choice when making a card with the Dainty Delight Bundle. (To be honest, it wasn’t my first card either, but it was the second one!)

These bold patterns have something else going for them: bright colors that are background style prints.

Some of these patterns worked really well for the front of my card. I started with Orchid Oasis (Blue or Purple? You decide). I brightened up my card by putting my busy layers on White Cardstock mats.

Block Orientation Your Way

The fun part about creativity is the ability to change things up! And that is just what I did as I made this card during my live demo. Instead of using landscape style blocks, I took the same papers and went horizontal.

You can see how great this card recipe looks no matter what direction you style it in!

Dainty Delight Celebrate You Card

Dainty Delight Card Class, Card 1

Dainty Delight Celebrate You Card

My Weekly Card Class From ME happens to showcase some dainty and delightful flowers. Our focus this week is the Dainty Delight Bundle by Stampin’ Up!. Need more info on this class? Click here.

While Spring in Maine is being a bit fickle, one can dream of the delightful flowers that will be appearing soon as the seasons change. For my first card in this series, Dainty Delight Celebrate You, I am really in the spring-like mood! Read on to see how this card design came into being.

Fresh Freesia and Soft Seafoam

When you start with pretty colors, like Fresh Freesia and Soft Seafoam, it is so easy to make a pretty card! In fact, I had just recently played with these colors together and I was eager to pull them back out.

Fresh Freesia

I started by heat embossing the sentiment “celebrate you” from the Dainty Delight Stamp Set in White Embossing Powder on my Fresh Freesia die cut oval.

Next, I added additional Fresh Freesia Ink with my Small Blending Brush, right over the embossed words. By leaving part of my oval un-sponged, I was able to create a beautiful combination of purple tones.

Soft Seafoam

The Soft Seafoam color in this card plays a secondary, or supporting, role. I die cut the curved leafy frond with the Dainty Delight Dies on Soft Seafoam Cardstock. The natural curve of this die cut follows the outline of my oval perfectly.
