Dainty Delight Card Class

Dainty Delight Bundle

Dainty Delight Card Class

Welcome to your Dainty Delight Card Class! This week, I am using the Dainty Delight Bundle by Stampin’ Up!. This bundle is found in the January-April 2023 Mini Catalog, and will carry over into the upcoming 2023-2024 Annual Catalog as two separate items.

What does that mean? Well, this bundle is technically retiring. After May 1, you won’t be able to purchase it as a bundle. This also means you will no longer save 10%.

If you want the best value, get this now! Otherwise, you will pay more in the future when you buy the Dainty Delight Stamp Set and the coordinating Dainty Delight Dies individually.

Want to see another card class featuring a retiring bundle with products that will be available in the Online Store individually? Check out this fantastic class featuring the Nested Friends Bundle.

The Dainty Delight Bundle

Dainty Delight Bundle

The Dainty Delight Stamp Set and the Dainty Delight Dies make up the Dainty Delight Bundle. When you purchase the bundle (both items together using a specific item number) you automatically save 10%, as mentioned above.

While either of these items are wonderful separately, using them together is most magical. Of course, any flower stamp is perfect as a stand alone item. I will be showcasing that in my Dainty Delight Card Class.

And when you add in flower die cuts, your cardmaking options really expand! You can use the Dainty Delight Dies to die cut stamped images, or as cardstock flowers to enhance your projects!

Live Card Making Class On Monday

Every Monday at 8pm EST, I am live with your weekly card making class on my FaceBook page, The Maine Stamper. I create 3 beautiful cards and share tips and techniques along the way. This class serves as your tutorial when you receive your card kits in the mail and need to put them together.

Get Your Card Kits For Free

Nested Friends Thinking of You Card

Nested Friends Card Class, Card 3

Nested Friends Thinking of You Card

We are on to the last card from my Weekly Card Class From ME. As I continue to use the Nested Friends Bundle by Stampin’ Up!, I am falling more and more in love with it!

Speaking of Fall-ing, this card from my class is all about an “Autumn themed vibe”. Looking for a more Summer-y approach? Check out the last card here from my Nested Friends Card Class. And if you missed my Spring time version, take a look here!

Leaf Fall 3D Embossing Folder

What better embossing folder for my Autumn themed Nested Friends Card than one that features falling leaves? I pulled out the Leaf Fall 3D Embossing Folder and used it not just once, but twice on my card!

On the Cajun Craze background, the leaves play a whimsical role. I love how they peep out from behind my additional layers. And speaking of those layers, I embossed my Petal Pink punched circle with the Leaf Fall 3D Embossing Folder too.

Fall-ing In Love With Quick Color

I am not a huge fan of tedious coloring. In fact, I prefer to stamp, add a second layer of ink, and go!

So for this Nested Friends Thinking of You Card, I opted for an easy color solution. First, I stamped my bird image from the Nested Friends Stamp Set in Early Espresso Ink on Petal Pink Cardstock. Next, I die cut my bird image with the coordinating die from the Nested Friends Dies.

And lastly, I added Early Espresso Ink around the edges of my die cut bird. This adds a lot of definition and makes my bird stand out against the Petal Pink punched circle that is his backdrop. All of that to avoid stamping an image and coloring it in (it’s a great shortcut!)!

Nested Friends Best Friends Card

Nested Friends Card Class, Card 2

Nested Friends Best Friends Card

We are on to the next card from my Weekly Card Class From ME. And this week features the Nested Friends Bundle by Stampin’ Up!. When you are showcasing friends, you need plural…so we have not one but two birds on this card!

This second card in the series is my “Summer” card. Want to see our first card in Spring fashion using the Nested Friends Bundle? Click here.

Best Friends Are True Blue

While my card is White and Balmy Blue, the designer series paper packs that I used are full of color! The Country Floral Lane DSP and Country Gingham DSP have the coordinating colors in them, making it simple to mix and match.

That is why card making with Stampin’ Up! products is so easy…great color coordination! I picked out the truest blue tones (all in Balmy Blue!) and cut different designs into small strips to place on my card front for the background. Try this on your cards using any colors and any designer papers for a fun look.

Colorful Blue Birds

For my adorable little best friend blue birds, I stamped the bird image twice from the Nested Friends Stamp Set using Memento Black Ink on White Cardstock. Next, I colored each bird using an assortment of Stampin’ Blends. The tones I chose were Balmy Blue, Crumb Cake and Pumpkin Pie (for the bird beaks).

While I am no real artist, I did my best to try to create both a male and female bird for contrast. My male bird has a bit more Balmy Blue color to show off for his lady friend. After my birds were colored, I die cut them with the coordinating die from the Nested Friends Die Set.

Lastly, I layered my colored and die cut branches and birds on a circle mat, courtesy of the Layering Circles Dies. I chose Balmy Blue Cardstock for the largest scallop die. And my White circle die cut has a bonus feature: I embossed it using the Merry Melody 3D Embossing Folder. Just imagine the sweet notes these friendly birds are singing together!
