Meet Julie

The Maine Stamper

If you love the idea of sending beautiful handmade cards but sometimes wonder if yours will turn out “good enough,” you’re not alone.

Many card makers start with excitement…

but quickly feel overwhelmed by supplies, unsure about layouts, or worried their cards won’t look as polished as they hoped.

That’s exactly why I do what I do.

About

Hi, I’m Julie

The Maine Stamper

and I help paper crafters turn simple supplies into beautiful handmade cards they’re proud to give.

Through easy-to-follow classes, creative card kits, and a supportive crafting community, I help card makers gain confidence, learn new techniques, and discover the joy of creating.

And the truth is — creativity has been part of my life for as long as I can remember.

My Story

A Life Filled With Handmade

Blue squiggle line

Growing up, handmade was simply part of everyday life.

My mom sewed many of my school clothes, my grandparents owned and operated a ceramics shop, and every year our Christmas tree was decorated with ornaments lovingly made by family.

Those experiences planted the seeds for a lifelong love of creating.

As I grew older, my creativity expanded into painting, cross-stitch, plastic canvas décor, and more. Later, as a young military wife and stay-at-home mom raising two children on a tight budget, handmade gifts became a meaningful way to celebrate holidays and special moments.

“Making something beautiful to give to someone you love — there’s truly nothing like it.”

The Turning Point

When Stamping Changed Everything

Rubber stamping came into my life at just the right time.

With military lifestyle retirement, a daughter leaving for college, and a teenage son still at home, I was craving both creativity and connection.

Then I said “yes” to a Christmas Stamp Camp.

That one simple invitation changed everything.

Soon I found myself gathering with friends to make cards, laugh together, and share ideas. When I joined Stampin’ Up! in December of 2012, it wasn’t because I planned to build a business.

I simply wanted to lead a small monthly stamping group where friends could create together.

“But something wonderful began to grow.”

Building Something Beautiful

A Creative Community Begins

After moving back to Maine, I set out to connect with card makers everywhere — not just locally. My website, email newsletters, weekly online classes, and card kits in the mail made that possible.

Suddenly, distance didn't matter anymore.

You are the reason I love what I do.

From teaching techniques and answering questions to cheering on your creative wins, my goal is always the same:

To help you feel confident, inspired, and excited to create.

Let’s Create Something Beautiful Together

If you’re ready to explore card making, learn new techniques, and be part of a supportive creative community, you’re in the right place.

Here are a few ways we can create together:

  • Join a live online card class
  • Try one of my card kits in the mail

Because the truth is…

A handmade card is more than paper and ink.

It’s a small piece of your heart that someone else gets to hold.

And I’d love to help you create it.

My Creative Crew

One of the greatest joys of my stamping journey has been building my team, My Creative Crew.

We are a supportive community of stampers who love sharing ideas, encouraging one another, and celebrating creativity.

Some members join simply for the product discount and inspiration. Others grow their own stamping businesses.

No matter your goals, you’ll find encouragement and friendship here.
