Easter Bunny Card Class

Easter Bunny Bundle

Your Weekly Card Class From ME

Welcome to your Easter Bunny Card Class! This week, I am using the Easter Bunny Bundle by Stampin’ Up!. This bundle is currently unavailable to purchase, because the Easter Bunny Punch is on backorder.

So why am I holding a weekly class based on product you can’t currently buy? First of all, it is the first day of spring. Bunnies seemed like the perfect subject.

And secondly, the Easter Bunny Bundle is making a come-back. It is scheduled to hop back in stock on May 15, which means it will also be a carry-over item from the January-April Mini Catalog into the new 2023-2024 Annual Catalog.

Sad we aren’t covering flowers this week? Check here to see my last class, which featured the Sentimental Park Bundle.

The Easter Bunny Stamp Set

The Easter Bunny Stamp Set is made up of 15 photopolymer stamps. But the best part about this stamp set really is the bunnies themselves. You get 3 of them, all in different adorable poses. One of the bunnies coordinates perfectly with the Easter Bunny Punch.

The Easter Bunny Punch

While the Easter Bunny Punch remains on backorder, there will be a day in the future for its return. In the meantime, you can always fussy cut the bunny image if you prefer. The lines of the stamp are simple ones without too many odd angles.

During my live card class, I shared how you can use the bunny punch so that the bunny faces in different directions when punching cardstock or designer series paper. You just need to punch the back of your DSP to get a bunny who faces left. Otherwise, stamp and punch (or just punch) to get a bunny that faces the right.

Two-Tone Flora With Love

Two-Toned Flora With Love Card

Two-Tone Flora Card Class, Card 3

I have been enjoying all the flowers in the Two-Tone Flora Bundle this week. For the last card from my Weekly Card Class From ME, Two-Tone Flora With Love, I added hearts to my flowers for a perfect love themed card.

Missed the other cards in this series? Click here to see Card #1; and click here to see Card #2. They are all very different and very fabulous.

Love That Packs A Punch

I love cardmaking and rubber stamping! I also love using lots of different products on my cards. Besides the Two-Tone Flora Stamp Set and Two-Tone Flora Dies, I chose a few punches to help make this card over the top amazing.

HEART PUNCH PACK

Heart Punch Pack

While the new Country Bouquet Punch is not currently available due to back-order issues, you can depend upon the Heart Punch Pack in the 2022-2023 Annual Catalog by Stampin’ Up! to take care of your punched heart needs.

I adore that this is a 2-pack of punches. These punches work perfectly together, with the scallop edge heart slightly larger than the classic shaped heart. In my Two-Tone Flora With Love Card, I layered them together as such. Of course, they can be used separately too!

BOUGH PUNCH

Bough Punch

The Bough Punch is probably my favorite and most reached for punch right now. I think adding a few leaves or sprigs to cards is classic and a great way to achieve an artful look. Check out how I used this punch in a completely masculine card here!

And I find that using a punch in papercrafting is a quick and easy solution to adding extra elements in. In this Two-Tone Flora With Love Card, I punched leaves in White Cardstock to add some brightness to the pink and red majority color palette.

Stamp, Emboss, Embellish

This gorgeous Two-Tone Flora With Love Card is bursting with sweet crafting techniques. From the two-step stamping to create flowers using the Two-Tone Flora Stamp Set, to the background stamping technique on the card base, it is easy to add similar ink colors to achieve a cohesive design.

There are other design elements on this card that bring it together too: the Elegant Eucalyptus Embossing Folder, the Gold Fine Shimmer Paper, and the Gold Shimmer Ribbon all play an important part. I finished off my card with the 2022-2024 In Color Matte Decorative Dots (which happens to be my FREE gift to you with a $50 order using my Host Code this week, along with the card kits from this class!).

Christmas Lights Online Class

Cards made with the Lights Aglow Suite.

Christmas Lights

I am ready to switch gears and really start making Christmas cards! For this online class, I chose to focus on 2 bundles from Stampin’ Up!’s July-December Mini Catalog. You can watch the video on my YouTube channel here.

It is not often I showcase 2 different bundles for the same class. But in this case, one bundle, the Christmas Lights Bundle, had image stamps only. There are also some great dies, check them out here!

The Christmas Lights Bundle

The second bundle I used is the Brightest Glow Bundle. This one coordinates perfectly with the Christmas Lights Bundle. And this time, the stamp set is made up of completely sentiments. Now you can see why I had to use both!

The Brightest Glow Bundle

The Green Card

Green is my favorite color, and perfect for Christmas trees. It was really easy to make my first class card. I also relied on the 6 x 6 Lights Aglow Specialty Designer Series Paper. What makes it special? All the gold accents built into one side of each sheet. You will see the opposite sides of this pretty paper used below.

Class Card #1

I chose the Wintry 3D Embossing Folders pine bough selection for this card design. Don’t you think it is classically elegant on the Evening Evergreen cardstock? For each of my Christmas trees, I stamped in VersaMark Ink and heat embossed with Gold Embossing Powder. I made the bows with Evening Evergreen 3/8″ Open Weave Ribbon.

Christmas Trees In Red

Of course, traditional Christmas colors are red and green. And Cherry Cobbler is the featured “red” color in the Lights Aglow DSP. My second card for this class relied heavily on red!

Christmas tree cards in red with the Lights Aglow Suite

I just love how cheerful these cards are! The DSP plays a big role here. Not only have I used it for a layering mat, I die cut my tree using DSP too. The garland is built in to the paper design! I chose the Gold & Vanilla Satin Edged Ribbon to create a bow for the top of my Christmas tree. And lastly, the Festive Pearls in gold add an additional rich touch.

Not A Christmas Tree Card

For the last card in this class, I decided to focus on the sentiment from the Brightest Glow Stamp Set. The best part about this fabulous red and green card? You can create it in either the landscape or portrait position. I love how this design works like that!

Class Card 3 featuring the Lights Aglow Suite

For this card, I also used the Merriest Frames Hybrid Embossing Folder. I have covered the smooth rectangle middle section with more paper layers. My Gold Glimmer Paper die cut snowflake is cut in half and adhered to either end of the DSP for extra fancy bling!

Get Your Card Kits From This Class!

With a qualifying order over $35 in my online store using the Host Code 9M49JB9V from October 17-23 2022, I will send you a set of card kits (1 of each design, 3 total) that you can use to recreate these cards at home. Whether you are using the Christmas Lights Bundle, the Brightest Glow Bundle, or different stamps and dies, your cards will be easy to put together- I will do all the cutting, die cutting and embossing (but no stamping).

If you miss out on this online class, just look for another one coming soon! You can also see my previous online class here. Join me on Monday evenings at 8pm (EST) for a live class on my FaceBook page, The Maine Stamper. Or watch for my YouTube videos posted shortly after, the The Maine Stamper channel. Hope to see you there!

Who Wore It Better?

Another version of my green Christmas tree card! For this version, I stamped and heat embossed using gold powder before die cutting both the outside edges and the inner details…there are little cut-away dots that create a sweet garland.

Who wore it better: red or green card?

Who Wore It Better? Green or Red? You decide!
