Join Me For A March (Kits & More) Madness Party

You don’t have to be “mad” for Stampin’ Up! Kits to join me for this fun filled event on Saturday, March 9, at the Lynde Lodge in Hermon, Maine. Our kit-together festivities will run from Noon to 4pm. Bring your basic cardmaking kit (adhesive, scissors, etc.) and plan to have an amazing Craft-ernoon!

Kits And More

There will be numerous fully assembled Stampin’ Up! papercrafting kits on display for you to view. Your first decision is choosing your own kit to craft with for your $30 entry fee. Along with your selected kit, you will receive a Mystery Goodie Bag for additional card making fun. Each “kit and more” comes with a complimentary raffle ticket to the Grand Prize Drawing!

But don’t stop at just one kit….try out other kits, with Mystery Goodie Bags and raffle tickets, for $25 each. There is no limit to the number of kits you may purchase, but styles may be limited based on kit popularity (first come, first served)! If you run out of assembly time, take your kits home to play at your leisure. Or, use a kit as the perfect gift for someone else!

March Madness Games & Prizes

Plan to play some games while you craft away! We will enjoy a couple of easy and fun basketball and bracket themed activities. Of course there will be prizes…what are games without winning, after all?!?

Cash in your token for the Basketball Toss Game, gym sneakers not required. Take your best guess with the Kit Bracket Game, choosing which kit you think will be slam dunked as most popular. And there is nothing but luck involved for the Grand Prize Drawing, may luck be with you on this day!

Socialize, Papercraft, Play

Besides crafting your kits and more, and playing March Madness Basketball Games for prizes, there will be a *NEW* Sentiment Stamping Station. This will give you the ability to ink up the perfect phrase for your projects, no matter what your kit has to say.

I will have a vast selection of sentiment stamps with clear blocks and ink for you to get clever with. There will also be a limited selection of basic shaped dies and punches to play with.

Welcome to your weekly Card Class From ME! This week, I am using the adorable Friendly Gnomes Stamp Set. And lucky for us, the Gnomes Dies (from the July-December 2022 Mini Catalog) are still available to purchase and work great with the newest gnome stamp images.

I have to admit, although Gnomes are a huge fad right now, they are not my favorite thing. Now, don’t get me wrong…I don’t dislike them. I am just not “over the moon” for them like their biggest fans are.

But I do know many people who love the gnomes! And when we are creating our cards and projects, we are usually making them for someone else, not ourselves. So it stands to reason that I would work with the Friendly Gnomes Stamp Set so that I can make gnome lovers happy!

Corner Bouquet Stamp Set

Recently Retired But Still Fabulous!

Did you get a chance to earn the Corner Bouquet Stamp Set for free with a qualifying $50 purchase during the January-February 2021 Sale-A-Bration period? If not, it is too late…Sale-A-Bration is over and this set is retired.

This stamp set may be short on sentiments, but it is big on everything else! The Corner Bouquet Stamp Set is versatile, easy to use and timeless. All you need to do is take a look at the tremendous amount of card samples using this set, and inspiration will certainly strike!

An easy way for you to duplicate card patterns and create unique looks is to start by stamping your image on 3 different pieces of color cardstock. Next, cut the stamped paper in thirds. Finally, rearrange them on each card front “puzzle style” to recreate the main image.

For the card samples shown above, I used the largest stamp image with Versamark Ink (item #102283) and White Stampin’ Emboss Powder (item #109132). Then, I heat set it with my Heat Tool (item #129053).

My next sample is done in neutral colors. I used Merry Merlot as a pop of color. For this card, I used the rest of the stamps in this great set. It really proves that all of the stamps in this set have value.

Did you notice that the sentiments in my cards are similar? The new Double Oval Punch from the January -June 2021 Mini Catalog is a must have! You will be able to create layers so easily using it. Or you could use each oval shape as a stand alone accent piece.

Gone But Not Forgotten

Even though you are unable to earn this item for free now that Sale-A-Bration has ended, I am offering a very limited quantity of new Corner Bouquet Stamp Sets as part of a card making class. The stamp sets have not been previously used, and are not “sticker” assembled.

My class has several options. You may purchase the Stamp Set and Card Kit option, and choose to create 3 different cards using the Corner Bouquet Stamp Set local in Maine with me. Or you can have the stamp set and card kit shipped, and view assembly directions online.
