The Sentimental Park Stamp Set

Just like the Petal Park Stamp Set, the Sentimental Park Stamp Set is also photopolymer. However, this stamp set is heavy on the sentiments! And not only lots of sentiments, but lots of sizes and fonts too.

You will also find some great two-step stamping style flowers in this stamp set too. And who doesn’t love flowers? Another great thing about this stamp set is that it coordinates so nicely with the…

Sentimental Park Dies

I love coordinating dies! I am able to quickly die cut my stamped images for a polished and professional look.

But these Sentimental Park Dies have a secret super-power! There is a way to layer the sentiment pieces and line up the stitched outlines by interlocking them. I shared those details during my live card making class, which you can see here.

Petal Park Dear Friend Card

Petal Park Card Class, Card 3

Petal Park Dear Friend Card

We are on to the last card from my Weekly Card Class From ME, featuring the Petal Park Bundle by Stampin’ Up!. It is always fun to play with flower stamps and bright, pretty colors…

Speaking of bright colors, Mango Melody, the main color in my Petal Park Dear Friend Card, is pretty bright! I usually avoid this color yellow, as I find it hard to use. But in this card, it just seemed natural and easy. Maybe this color really is growing on me….

Mango Melody Yellow

I stand by my earlier thoughts on this bold color choice. Like the rest of the cards from this weekly class, I worked with the coordinating palette from the Regency Park 6 x 6″ DSP pack. And there are a few Mango Melody selections to choose from!

Fortunately for me, there is also some Night of Navy to calm down the overwhelming yellow. I love how the patterns and colors came to play for this card. It was simple to pick a few designs that went well together. From there, I chose to flag the ends of different lengths with the Banners Pick A Punch.

Petal Park Punched Flowers

There are soooo many ways to use the Petal Park Stamp Set and Petal Park Builder Punch to create gorgeous flowers. During my live card class, I shared 3 of them. For this third card, I used only 1 color: Mango Melody.

Petal Park Flowers, Option 3

For this Petal Park Dear Friend Card, I chose Mango Melody Cardstock to stamp my flowers on. I stamped only the outline stamp in Mango Melody Ink onto my cardstock. This gave me the perfect tone on tone look.

After my stamping was complete, I used the coordinating Petal Park Builder Punch to get perfect flowers!

Petal Park Thanks Card

Petal Park Card Class, Card 2

Petal Park Thanks Card

We are on to the next card from my Weekly Card Class From ME. And this week features the Petal Park Bundle by Stampin’ Up!. This stamp and coordinating punch bundle is part of the Regency Park Suite. Look for lots more to come in that regard!

And just like our first card from this class, I am using the Regency Park 6 x 6″ Designer Series Paper pack. Need to see our first card? Click here for all the details!

Specialty Papers

The Regency Park DSP is not the only great paper on this Petal Park Thanks card. There are 2 other specialty papers here too! Both of these great selections came straight out of the January-April 2023 Mini Catalog.

Textured Shimmer Paper

This 12 x12″ Textured Shimmer Paper is really special. Each sheet has a sheen to it that is noticeable, but not loud. The “texture” element to this paper is the ridges in it, which are similar to corrugated paper. It gives the paper dimension too,

There are 3 great colors is this paper pack: Shaded Spruce, Balmy Blue and White. You will find lots of ways to use any of them in your upcoming projects. For my Petal Park Thanks Card, I used a piece of the white. It helps to “hide” the middle empty space of the detailed leaves on my Night of Navy card base.

Vellum Basics Specialty Paper

While Vellum is not the most showy item on this card, it lends a softness and richness to behold. And maybe you use plain Vellum from time to time! But stepping it up with this Vellum Basics Specialty Paper provides a lot more wow factor.

I adore all the Vellum choices in this paper pack! My favorite by far is the leafy patter. I used it on my Petal Park Thanks Card as a die cut, stitched circle. But the stripes pattern and the dots pattern are just as charming! In my live card demo, I shared a great tip on how to adhere the Vellum to the card without adhesive showing. Check out my video replay here.

Petal Park Punched Flowers

There are soooo many ways to use the Petal Park Stamp Set and Petal Park Builder Punch to create gorgeous flowers. During my live card class, I shared 3 of them. For this second card, I used Balmy Blue and Night of Navy. These colors match my cardbase and chosen piece of designer series paper.

Petal Park Flowers, Option 2

For this card, I chose White Cardstock to stamp my flowers on. I began with Balmy Blue Ink and the filler flower stamp for this two-step stamping technique. I stamped one full set of flowers with full ink, then immediately stamped again to get second generation inked flowers. This gave me 2 different color blue flower sets!

Next, I used the outline flower stamp and Night of Navy Ink. I was able to line these stamps up quite easily, as the stamps from the Petal Park Stamp Set are photopolymer. After my stamping was complete, I used the coordinating Petal Park Builder Punch to get perfect flowers!

What is so special about another flower stamp set and a punch, you may be wondering. Didn’t we just cover something similar last week?

To begin, this new bundle in the January-April 2023 Mini Catalog is a lot different than what we used last week. The Petal Park Bundle is a part of the Regency Park Suite. That means there are a lot more products that coordinate with this bundle! After this week, we will continue to explore more from this same suite next week.

And to get more of the details on how awesome these new products are, check out my post for my thoughts on the stamp set and punch by clicking here.

Regency Park Designer Series Paper

As part of the Regency Park Suite, we have some beautiful 6 x 6″ Regency Park DSP to work with. In fact, that is where my color inspiration came from for this Weekly Card Class From ME!

With solid and bold colors like Balmy Blue, Mango Melody, Night of Navy, Petal Pink, Shaded Spruce, and Sweet Sorbet, I just knew I was going to have a primary color palette for my card bases. So, I decided red, blue and yellow were must-do’s.

Circle Punches Are Back!

As I write this blog post in March of 2023, Stampin’ Up! just released their very first Online Exclusives. These new products will not be in any catalogs, but sold only in the online store. I was really excited to see the 2″ and 1-3/4″ Circle Punches making a comeback!

Now don’t get me wrong, I love my dies. But punches are so much faster and quicker to use. Because of this, I used these 2 punches quite a bit in the design of my first card from this class.

Petal Park Punched Flowers

There are soooo many ways to use the Petal Park Stamp Set and Petal Park Builder Punch to create gorgeous flowers. During my live card class, I shared 3 of them. For this first card, I used Petal Pink and Sweet Sorbet to match my cardstock and chosen piece of designer series paper.

Petal Park Flowers, Option 1

First, I started with Petal Pink Cardstock. By using color cardstock instead of white cardstock, you really get a different look. There are 2 reasons for this: the punch leaves an area of cardstock showing around the perimeter of the stamped area (therefore you see either a white or color surround); and stamping on white or color cardstock effects the way the ink tone reflects on the paper.

For my stamping on this card, I only used 1 color of ink. First I stamped the inner flower of the two-step stamping onto Petal Pink Cardstock using second generation ink in the color Sweet Sorbet. That means I stamped off on a scrap paper and then stamped the second time onto my cardstock. This gives my flower middle a lighter tone.

Lastly, I stamped the outline stamp for my two-step stamping process using full Sweet Sorbet Ink. Now the flower outline is twice as dark as the middle of my flowers. After I punched the flowers out and assembled them on my card, I added some Wink of Stella to give them a little glimmer and shine.

The Petal Park Stamp Set

Petal Park Stamp Set

The Petal Park Stamp Set contains 11 photopolymer stamps. This set is a almost completely two-step stamping. There is just one tiny stamp that is not part of a two-step set up, and it consists of some itty-bitty background spots. With two-step stamping, you can add color quickly and move on to other parts of your project!

There is another great thing about this stamp set too, it works with the Petal Park Builder Punch!

The Petal Park Builder Punch

Petal Park Builder Punch

I love punches, because they are quick and easy to use. No need to drag out the die cutting machine and sort thru your die collection. Grab this punch and go!

With the Petal Park Builder Punch, you will have a collection of both flowers and leaves to use on your projects. You may stamp and punch out matching images, or just punch cardstock to layer together to create beautiful flowers. The punch allows you to get 4 different images at once, 3 flowers and 1 leaf.
