Countryside Corners Always Card

Countryside Inn Mega Class, Part II, Card 2

Countryside Corners Always Card

The Countryside Corners Always Card is the second card for your Weekly Card Class From ME. This class is a Mega Class, featuring the Countryside Corners Bundle and the Countryside Inn Suite. What does that mean?

Get ready for twice the fun and inspiration! This class is a 2 week adventure in card making. But we are quickly coming to an end of this Mega Class. Need a few more details? Click here.

Same Blues, Different Card

If you didn’t know this about me yet, I love to add lots of layers to my cards. And the layers don’t need to be complicated. A few simple rectangles in nested sizes make me happy!

We are continuing to use the following blues on all our cards: Night of Navy, Balmy Blue, Boho Blue and Misty Moonlight. And of course, we are still using the Countryside Inn Designer Series Paper. It is the perfect coordinating match!

Misty Moonlight Stamping

During my live card making class, I showed you how easy it is to stamp the big image from the Countryside Corners Stamp Set once, then die cut multiple images with the coordinating Countryside Corners Dies to use on several different cards.

For my Countryside Corners Always Card, I found that the small flower stamp from Lasting Joy Stamp Set fit perfectly in the middle column of the smallest rectangle image. Want to see this in action? Click here for the video replay.

Always Sentimental

I choose punches often when putting together my cards. I find that they are quick and easy to use.

One of my favorite sentiment punches is the Double Oval Punch. I punched the larger scallop piece in Night of Navy Cardstock, and the smaller oval in White Cardstock. There are “always” a lot of sentiments that fit in this perfect oval shape.

Countryside Inn Mega Class, Part II, Card 1

Countryside Corners Birthday Card

The Countryside Corners Birthday Card is first up for Part II of your Weekly Card Class From ME. This class is a Mega Class, featuring the Countryside Corners Bundle and the Countryside Inn Suite. What does that mean?

Look for twice the fun and inspiration! This class will last for 2 weeks. There will be more cards and ideas, all centered around one gorgeous suite. We have completed the Part I already. Need a few more details? Click here.

White or Blue…It’s Up To You!

While it is true that all 6 cards in this 2 week Mega Class are white and blue, there are lots of ways to mix these colors into each card.

In fact, for our first card we started with White Cardstock and Night of Navy Ink for our Countryside Corners stamped image. But for this class, we are playing with Misty Moonlight Cardstock and Ink.

After stamping my image, I used the coordinating Countryside Corners Dies to cut various sections that I used on all 3 cards from this Countryside Inn Mega Class, Part II. You may notice on this Countryside Corners Birthday Card, I actually used 2 separate sections of die cuts.

Blue Flowers From Lasting Joy

Along with the Countryside Corners Stamp Set, I chose the Lasting Joy Stamp Set, mostly for the sentiments. But, I was delighted to be able to use some floral imagery from Lasting Joy, too.

I stamped the largest flower using Misty Moonlight Ink on White Cardstock. For the flower center, I used a single tiny flower stamp and stamped off the Misty Moonlight Ink to get a lighter shade.

Since there are no dies or a punch to coordinate with the Lasting Joy Stamp Set, I had to fussy cut my flowers. My tip when your fussy cutting isn’t the greatest and your image looks less than perfect is to sponge daub some coordinating ink along the edges that you cut. This will help to camouflage and soften the cut image.

Blue Bough Punched Leaves

One of my favorite punches is the Bough Punch. I love how quickly I can add an element to my card with a quick punch or two.

For this Countryside Corners Birthday Card, I married Misty Moonlight with Boho Blue. These colors are perfect shades to compliment each other!

Countryside Inn Suite

Countryside Inn Mega Class, Part II

Welcome to your Countryside Inn Mega Class, Part II! This week, I am using the Countryside Corners Bundle by Stampin’ Up!. This bundle is a brand new release in the 2023-2024 Stampin’ Up! Annual Catalog. Missed the live card class? Click this link for the video replay!

Did you know that when you purchase a bundle, you automatically save 10%? When in doubt, buy the bundle. Nothing is more irritating than buying just the stamps or just the punch (or dies) and going back later to purchase the other half of the bundle.

Lasting Joy Stamp Set

Since we covered the star of our class, the Countryside Corner Stamp Set, last week during Part I of this Mega Class, we need to look at the other stamp set I have been using for 2 weeks.

I chose the Lasting Joy Stamp Set for the great variety of sentiments it has. And as a bonus, this stamp set has a few flowers that I also took advantage of. Both of these were great additions to all of my cards!

Oh Baby, Those Blues!

This Countryside Inn Mega Class may have given you a big case of the blues. Since our featured designer series paper, Countryside Inn, is all about blue, so are the cards.

Our color palette includes Night of Navy, Misty Moonlight, Boho Blue and Balmy Blue. And of course, bright pops of white created the classic blue and white look that is hard to beat. I think a look at the finished cards will have you thinking the same.

Countryside Corners Lasting Joy Card

Countryside Corners Lasting Joy Card

The Countryside Corners Lasting Joy Card is the second card for your Weekly Card Class From ME. This class is a Mega Class, featuring the Countryside Corners Bundle and the Countryside Inn Suite. What does that mean?

Countryside Corners Bundle

While I am using the Countryside Corners Stamp Set and the Countryside Corners Dies for this class, I am also doing something I have never done before!

For this class, I am stamping my image just once with Night of Navy Ink on White Cardstock. Then, I am using the dies to cut away different stamped sections for each of my 3 cards for this entire class!

This saves on repeated stamping and use of cardstock. It also gives me great variations of this stamp’s imagery to play with. Want to see which part of this stamped image on used on my first card from this class? Click here.

Lasting Joy Stamp Set

You may have noticed that the Countryside Corners Stamp Set is only imagery, without any sentiments! And because I like to add words to most of my cards, I had to pick another stamp set to play with during my Mega Class.

The Lasting Joy Stamp Set is a great choice. There are a lot of different sentiments to choose from. These sentiments also come in a variety of sizes, which is very helpful. I also love that there are a few flower and leaf images as well. I took advantage of them on this Countryside Corners Lasting Joy Card.

Color Swap Card!

Each week, I explore a color change-up with one of my featured cards. This week, the Lasting Joy Card got a makeover. I swapped in the colors Melon Mambo and Bubble Bath, and changed the designer paper pattern. Which card do you prefer?
