Irresistible Blooms Hello Card

Irresistible Blooms Card Class, Card 3

Irresistible Blooms Hello Card

We are on to the last card from my Weekly Card Class From ME, featuring the Irresistible Blooms Bundle by Stampin’ Up!. While it is always fun to play with flower stamps and dies with bright, pretty colors…

Wait a minute! My Weekly Card Class From ME has a lot of black, white and gray colors. Not the usual collection of inspiring hues associated with floral cards.

In fact, this Irresistible Blooms Hello Card doesn’t even showcase a flower from the Irresistible Blooms Bundle. Need to see my last Irresistible Blooms Card? Check out the previous card class here.

Beautiful Black

This card certainly has a lot of black and very little other color involved. It is actually hard to notice some of the details of this card from the picture. But when you hold this one in your hands, it is more obvious that there are a lot of interesting layers here.

The Perfectly Penciled Designer Series Paper and Black and White Gingham Ribbon are perfect for this black and white themed card. I also added a small dash of pink from the Loose Frosted Dots Embellishments.

Irresistible Blooms Dies

Irresistible Blooms Dies

It’s time to talk about the awesome Irresistible Blooms Dies again! I used the round die that cuts into your paper and leaves an elegant trail of lines and dots in my first card from this online class. If you missed it, you may read more about it here.

This time, I chose to play with the long, narrow die that leaves behind a string of lines and dots that somehow magically hold together. It really is quite unbelievable! My video demonstration shows the die cutting, clean up and use of this intricate piece. Watch my video here.

Ever Lovely Black and Pink

While my black die cut may not show up the best on camera from the black on black card, it certainly has some flair when added to a pink layer! How fantastic is my color swap card here? Even the new Basics 3D Embossing Folder shows up better with Blushing Bride.

Irresistible Blooms Thank You Card

Join me this week as I take a look at the Irresistible Blooms Bundle by Stampin’ Up!. It is all part of my Card Class From ME. If you missed the live video assembly of my card kits, check it out here.

What is so special about another flower stamp set and dies, you may be wondering. To begin, this brand new bundle is part of Online Exclusives, debuting on March 1. There will be products that will not be in any catalog. You will need to find them in the online store, which is something new and fresh.

And to get more of the details on how awesome these new products are, check out my post for my thoughts on the stamp set and dies by clicking here.

Perfectly Penciled

While each of my cards from the Irresistible Blooms Class is very neutral in color (notice that I used Basic Gray for this card!), I also shared some more colorful options during my live demo, using different cardstock panels and designer series paper from the upcoming Hello, Irresistible 6 x 6″ DSP.

For the offered card kits in the mail with a qualifying purchase with me this week using Host Code AKJJUXXN, I have chosen a very neutral designer series paper pack, Perfectly Penciled, to work in. These fun patterns are easy to add color to if you have the mind to do so!

Basic Gray

Basic Gray is elegant, and not always somber, as this card proves. I stamped my flower and leaves images in Basic Gray Ink before sponging on color to add a nice splash of brightness. My color palette includes So Saffron, Blushing Bride and Cajun Craze for the flower, and Old Olive for the leaves.

But of course, there are a lot of other colors the flower could be! And I love to play with color, so expect a another color swap card coming soon.
